You can always enjoy catch and release with any of the fish on an Orange Beach AL fishing charter. If you want to keep your catch then here are seasons on many of the species of fish in the Gulf of Mexico. These regulations can change often. I will do my best to keep the recent updates listed on my website. There are seasons on several species of fish that have not been announced yet. - Red snapper season 2025 June 1st – Sept 15th. (7 Days a Week) for federally permitted charter boats. All of our boats are federally permitted.
- Vermillion snapper Open year round
- Black (grey) snapper Open year round
- Lane snapper Open year round
- Amberjack Check with captain
- Triggerfish Opens March 1st and closes May 31st. Opens again August 1st closes TBD
- White snapper (red porgy) Open year round
- Scamp grouper Open year round except for February 1st through March 31st
- Gag grouper September 1st – 14th
- Red grouper Check with captain
- King mackerel Open year round
- Spanish mackerel Open year round
- Wahoo Open year round
- Mahi mahi Open year round. Usually caught June through September. A few mahi mahi are caught within 30 miles some years and some years we do not see many.
- All of the fish listed below are deepwater fish and may be kept year round. These fish are caught on our deep drop fishing trips
