These fishing reels are light weight but yet strong enough to reel up a big fish. We suggest using the manual reel until you get the fish hooked and coming up. You may then flip the lever and let the electric reel do the rest. Our deep drop fishing tackle is different from what is used by many other fishermen. Our light weight rod and reels allow you to feel the bite and handle the tackle. We also provide larger rod and reels the same as many other fishermen use. With this method we place two bent butt rods in rod holders and you just push the button. You never handle these rod and reels.

This fish is also great tasting. Golden tilefish are found in waters from 600 feet to over 1,000 feet. Some people compare the taste to lobster. You can judge the taste yourself.
